Science and art meet aesthetics
Soapmaking is a scientific process governed by physics and chemistry, heat transfer and thermodynamics. But most of all it involves aesthetics and imagination. Before I founded Luisa inc., I had been working my entire career as an engineer, making scientific calculations and designs. What I have learned is that it takes a good deal of science to produce quality products. However, it also takes an extra bit of creativity and passion to make products that are really out of this world.
When I graduated my masters degree in applied chemistry I won the Intel Honors Award for my research thesis. Then, when I moved with my family to scenic Westchester County in New York, I decided to apply my professional skills to something creative and artistic. I spent 2 years creating and perfecting a new line of hand-crafted natural care and aromatherapy products, and have founded Luisa. My husband is a research scientist who is also a composer and musician. He created Ultra Age Music inspired by the scents, calmness, and joy that has filled our home when I started creating my new line of soaps.
We at Luisa New York believe that our customers seek only the best of quality. We have poured the essence of our professional and creative skills into our business.
